[Traffic Citation Attorney] Citizen vs Kubosh vs Off the Record
Hello
I understand I posted similar to this question before by asking about Citizen lawfirm but I am trying to make a final decision. Sorry if you feel like I am spamming
I was driving on one of those country side back streets which has "two lanes" but there is no line drawn to separate the lanes. I was trying to take over this guy driving in front of me and as I was on his left, he turned left to get into his home and hit me. We called the cops and the cop gave me a citation for failing to safely pass on the left and said the accident is at my fault. I think it is worth disputing but let me know if you feel like it is not. It seems like lawyers don't tell me that during the consultation as they just want to take the case and make money imo.
I have narrowed down to Citizen, Kubosh, and Off the Record
Citizen seems to be the cheapest of the three ($50). They seems to have a decent reputation on this subreddit and just by looking at the price it seems like no brainer to choose them. However, according to Google and yelp reviews, they seem to be hit or miss: alot of people complained about them not showing up to the court, not submitting necessary forms to the court, not doing anything at the court, etc…
Kubosh charges $90. They seem to have awesome Google reviews but have awful Yelp reviews. Not sure how trustworthy Yelp reviews these days are though… They seem to be the safest choice compared to Citizen but if I were to consider Kubosh over Citizen, I run into this another choice dilemma of Kubosh vs Off the Record.
Off the Record charges $95. More expensive than Kubosh but of course $5 difference is negligible. They seem to boast about 97% success rate and guarantee money back if they are not successful in court but I have seen complaints saying they consider anything like Defensive Driving or getting tiny amount of discounts on the fine as a "success". Awesome Google reviews but it is for all over the country so I am not sure what kind of lawyer they hire in Houston and hence how good there are here in Houston. Has anyone used them here?
Sorry if it feels like I am nickle and dimming over small amount of money but I am broke š …
I appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance!
