Boeing Co. suspends production on the 737 Max

The Boeing Co. on Dec. 16 announced that it will temporarily halt production of its grounded 737 Max as it waits for recertification.

Boeing said in a statement released after the close of financial markets — confirming previous reports that such a plan was imminent — that production will be halted in January.
