Houston Street Parking

This isn’t a complaint, more of an observation. I’ve lived in Houston for 20 years and one thing I’ve noticed that happens here a lot, or at least in my neighborhood, that I haven’t seen to this degree elsewhere is people either seem to forget or don’t understand the basic etiquette of street parking.

The one breach of etiquette I see the most are the people who park in the middle of a stretch of curb so that they take up the entire space when if they had just pulled all the way forward or backward someone else could park there too.

Literally everyday I see this multiple times and having come from another major urban area I just think it’s so odd.

Edit: I live in the Heights where street parking is important.
