Thanks to HPD for following through on reports of illegal dumping. I even received a courtesy follow up call.

About a month ago I submitted a few reports through the city of Houston website about illegal dumping that was taking place (some of which we actually witnessed) on the side of the road near empty lots in the acres homes vicinity.

Yesterday I received a courtesy call from HPD letting us know they drove by several times to make sure it was cleaned up (which it was within about a week or two) and better yet he even said they would do another drive by this week to check on some trash tire piles they saw there again recently.

It was a really nice call and he said to continue filing reports online or call 311 anytime we see that kind of activity in the future. Sometimes when you submit a form online you just never know if it will be seen or acted upon, so kudos to our local teams for actually taking action and going the extra mile to follow up directly.
