Meet Alexis/LaSabria Henderson/Sanders | Teacher/Coach & Event Decorator / HR Generalist & Event Decorator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis/LaSabria Henderson/Sanders and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexis/LaSabria, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Our thought process… To be honest after creating events for family and friends, we decided it’d be a great idea to start our business. We love the reaction of seeing others as they walk through the door, smiling ear to ear, taking thousands of pictures. It’s so fulfilling, and the fact that we get to be apart of those special memories means so much to us.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets us apart from others is our connections with each client we encounter. Our main goal is to take their ideas, bring them to life, and create life lasting memories. We are most excited about our rebranding and new found partnerships. We hope, in the near future, create a space where we can expand our brand, and reach more people. We got to where we are by TRIAL AND ERROR! We started off as two separate business, then decided to come together when we came to the conclusion that we’d be more of a force together. Was it easy? Absolutely not, trial and error played a key role in overcoming challenges. We learned that mistakes are inevitable, and a valuable part of the process. We just want to make life long memories for others, it makes doing what we do worth it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For starters Brunch at Union Kitchen would be an absolutely must; they do not disappoint. A picnic at Tinsley Park, alongside the Buffalo Bayou, followed by a pick volleyball match with Houstonians from all over the city (it’s the best way to mix and mingle with a diverse group of people from all around the globe) and have a good time. Another hidden gem we would have to swing by for fresh food, amazing deserts, healthy, but delicious drink options, and of course coffee, Tout Suite! The vibe at Tout Suite could be described as eccentric, and trendy. For a night out on the town, midtown would be our go-to. There are many different places in Midtown with many different styles of music, but Belle Station and Christian’s Tailgate would be top two on the Mid-town train! We would end the weekend with a good Sunday service, and off you go….

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shout out to my family and friends for the affirmations, business and support, but moreover my mom, sister, brother, and best friend. They stepped in when life got busy, and we always managed to get the job done no matter how chaotic the behind the scenes preparation got. —

I would love to give a shoutout to my family, friends and those who followed my social media over the years with my crazy business ventures and ideas. I am excited most importantly for this business venture with one of my close friends. We get each other creatively, so this business is a representation of that. Excited to showcase our talents to the Houston community and beyond.
