The hell is up with gunshots on the southeast side?

I know parts of Houston are more prone to it than others, but this is a new development for Pasadena area. I heard gunshots twice in one day this weekend, and I’ve been hearing them for a couple weeks randomly.

Who tf is trying to kill one another? And for what? It’s Pasadena, the whole city is ugly and people are cheap, what’s worth dying over?

I’m mostly surprised because Pasadena PD is a very available presence here. I’ve gotten so many traffic tickets it’s unreal Bc you can’t even skate by a week on expired tags; they will catch you lol. But the response time is admittedly fucking excellent.

That said, the area is definitely changing, with a lot more homeless folks (they aren’t a bother, but there were nearly zero up until a couple years ago—just that one rough-lookin’ guy over on Genoa Redbluff), and my neighborhood is getting a fuckton of car vandalism.

So uh, any info? I’d like to not get shot walking the dog. It’s already dangerous enough with assholes letting their dogs roam off-leash.
