Mayor: Rodeo Houston canceled on coronavirus fears
The city of Houston will cancel or delay all city-sponsored events for the month of March — including the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo — out of fear of exposing attendees to the deadly COVID-19 coronavirus, city officials announced Wednesday, March 11.
According to the Rodeo Houston Twitter account, the grounds will close at 4 p.m. March 11.
“A ticket refund process is still in the works and will be communicated once it is finalized,” the rodeo tweeted.
