Why are bonds so low? Here’s how to fix them

Not trying to have a political fight but if DUI happens and someone get arrested, it should be higher than 100 dollars/10 bucks? Dude just killed his teenage girlfriend and just got a low bond? Repeat offenders getting low bonds?

I get we don’t want to punish the poor with cash bonds but violent crimes shouldn’t have easy bonds especially if there’s repeat crimes happening and they keep getting bonds. How about this?

DUI – minimum 3 days in jail initially and bond is set at 50k especially if you crashed plus the extra stuff such as ignition lock, court fees etc

Theft, burglary – minimum 7 days initially, 25k bond

Home invasion, armed robbery – no bond immediately but show evidence that backs that person needs to be in jail while court case occurs. Bond can happen trial

Murder – no bond immediately but show evidence that back person needs to be in jail. No bond during trial since well…you killed unjustly

It’s not perfect at all, I may be wrong, just got tired of seeing the crime around down and all the horrible DUIs. I mean I won’t drive at night unless I have to.
