Budget veterinarian for pet dental.

Does anyone know of a budget veterinarian that does dental procedures on cats? My mother was told her cat had a bad tooth and needed an extraction because it was infected but she was quoted 1000$ for the procedure and we don’t have a lot of money right now but I also don’t want something terrible to happen to her companion.
