Davis Mills passed David Carr’s rookie passing record today, but that’s not the whole story

"[Davis] Mills finished his rookie campaign completing 66.8 percent of passes and tossing 16 touchdowns, 10 interceptions for an 88.8 passer rating. Mills also rushed for 44 yards on 18 carries."- HoustonTexans.com

Mills broke the record for most yards in a rookie season, set by David Carr in 2002; the Texan's first draft choice. By comparison, in 2002 Carr completed 52.5% of his passes, 9 touch downs, and 15 interceptions with a passer rating of 62.8 in 2002. It's also worth noting that Mills passed Carr's record after starting 5 fewer games (having only started 11, to Carr's 16).
