Halfway points to meet between Houston and Hot Springs, Arkansas

Towns in between Houston and Hot Springs I could meet family on the weekends just to stay at a hotel, get food and hang out??? Doesn’t have to be the same distance both ways. Hot Springs is an hour southwest of the more familiar Little Rock if that helps
