Texans win out to finish 6-11
I remember when I first heard the idea of a “trap game” probably on PTI or ATH way back when. Yesterday morning as I looked at the NFL matchups for the day, that’s exactly what I thought the Texans/Chargers game was: a trap game.
Chargers had players out but was having a good enough season to feel like a legit playoff contender. Texans were just coming off a win and with Tyrod out permanently, some stability at QB had finally formed.
Wish I had called it here but I’m currently on vacation in Mexico (typing this on a bus to Tulum – gotta squeeze that in.)
Anyway, today only 24 hours removed from that game,we have a completely different Texans team: a disrespected team on a win streak. One thing any athlete will tell you about winning is that it is addictive. The Texans are winning games, playing loose and have a young quarterback with not much film to go on for opposing defensive coordinators.
With San Francisco next week and division rival Titans to close out the season, is a 4 game win streak going into next year a real possibility?

Hope you enjoyed reading this. I love sports journalism and this is probably my first conscious attempt at it. My favorite sports journalists are Peter King (be sure to read his weekly article Football Morning in America) as well as Tony and Michael from PTI.
