Google maps has this pretty good feature on gauging whether or not it's busy. I was hoping to go to the grocery store right now and checked how busy it was. Usually the location is highlighted with a purple circle and labeled "as busy as it gets." This will help anyone going out and about in Houston.

If you do head out, please be kind to the workers and wear your masks. No one wants to start the new year sick with covid.
