is there any easier way to make my commute cheaper ?

my car broke down and i have to uber everytime to work it cost about 25 every trip so around 50 everyday i have to go from around Houston 77077 to Houston 77064 every week day i really want to know is there anyway i can make this commute any cheaper, i cant ride a bike i just sustained an injury on my knee, are like taxis cheaper ?? there are no metro routes to my job is personal metro like affordable i tried to look these things up but cant seem to find anything
