Houston Company The Burger Joint Expands With New Friendswood Restaurant

Along with creative versions of its namesake food item, The Burger Joint also serves chef Matt Pak’s shakes (including spiked ones for the grownups, such as the Not Your Father’s Root Beer “Float”), hot dogs and sides, such as Chili Queso Fries and mac and cheese. (Pak, who just moved to Friendswood, co-owns The Burger Joint with business partner Shawn Bermudez, who also owns Present Company bar in Montrose.) The new location also sports a full bar and cocktail program developed by beverage director Rex Nielsen.

“Our team is so excited to finally bring The Burger Joint to Friendswood! We can’t wait to feed the neighborhood and get to know the community,” said Pak via press release.
The company says that, to date, it’s sold over 2 million burgers at the Montrose and Heights locations combined. With the new Baybrook location, it will probably hit 3 million at a rapid pace now.
