Judge gives hemp retailers brief reprieve with temporary injunction in Delta-8 lawsuit
A Travis County judge on Nov. 8 issued a temporary injunction in a lawsuit over Texas’ laws pertaining to Delta-8 THC, a popular cannabis extract.
District court Judge Jan Soifer blocked the state from listing Delta-8 as a Schedule I drug, saying the Texas Department of State Health Services did not follow proper rule-making procedures, the Texas Tribune reported.
That means retailers can again sell products containing Delta-8 THC, at least for the time being, as the legal fight drags on.
