Any avid thrifters here? Where can I find vintage brooches at a steal?

I’m taking on a sentimental craft project with my kids, and we need some vintage brooches and jewelry to supplement the sentimental pieces we already own. I don’t intend to spend a lot per piece, since we need a lot of pieces. Can anyone recommend a thrift store that has a good collection of colorful, vintage jewelry and brooches on the cheap (<$5 per piece?).
