So what crimes are the cops more likely to “stop” out here?

I’m not trying to be condescending. Everytime I get into this subreddit I see stories, videos, posts about crimes. Break-ins, road rage, mugging a, harassment, etc.

And despite all the evidence in the world people say that the Houston PD will more than likely do nothing about it. Bonus points if there are comments saying that the victim should get a gun. So what gives?

I’ve only lived here for a couple years so maybe I’m just new. Are the cops only interested in traffic law of something?
