In Houston November 5-6

I'm in Houston November 5-6 for the Travis Scott's Astrofest and I have a few questions. Do I have time at any point, time to visit the NASA center or the Houston Museum of Natural Science? Additionally, is the transit system any reliable? I am willing to uber everywhere since I can't drive but if I don't have to, that'd be great.
