Friends daughter is scared at school bus stop. Can kids take any type of self defense weapon to school and home?

My friend is a maid/nanny and has a daughter in 6th grade of Huffman ISD. There is a white jeep that follows her home from her bus stop. Police have been notified. Even if the police decide to do something in this situation, for possible future situations, is there a weapon like pepper spray, taser, or a knife that a 6th grader can take to school and bring home for self defense?
