Explosion reported at second Chesapeake well site near Bryan-College Station

For the second time in two weeks, the Railroad Commission of Texas sent an investigator to the site of an explosion in the Brazos Valley area involving Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK).

The Brazos County Sheriff’s Department was called out to a Chesapeake well site Feb. 8 after a nearby resident reported a series of loud bangs, a department spokesperson said.
