Give me your cheapest Houston hacks!

I'll be living in Houston for a month starting October for an internship (unpaid). I'm not from the US and every dollar I'll spend will be one less going toward my loans. So give me your cheapest coffee places, takeout, grocery deals, gyms and anything else you think I'll need to survive a month in Houston. Also if anyone can give me an accurate monthly budget (excluding rent) so I can manage my expenses more. I'll be living near the medical centre TIA
