Still without power due to fallen tree – Any advice?
| |
I'm sure someone is currently, or has been in this situation before, so I'm trying to figure out if there's anything I can do. The storm on Monday night took out a neighbor's tree which happened to fall right on the power line coming into my home. I reported it to Centerpoint right away, but STILL haven't had anyone come out and reconnect the line. The line is live, so it's a hazard and I'm not getting anywhere near it. I also can't let me dog out, not to mention the gaping hole in the fence. I finally got a call earlier today that crews were making it to the "lower level" outages. I figured someone would come check it out, but it's almost 10:00 PM and no one has arrived. I'm literally the only one without power in my neighborhood right now. Last couple nights weren't too bad without A/C, but it's stifling inside and I'm thinking about getting a hotel. Is there a way to get Centerpoint to pay for it? Also, when the crews finally arrive, are they going to remove the entire tree? It's not a small… Thanks for any help in advance! submitted by /u/aperfectopportunity |
