Is Houston Baptist University a good college?

Everyone knows UT and TAMU are great colleges but I want to stay in Houston since I want to be a teacher anyways (no point of me going out especially when I want to teach in a Houston district). So I go to community college (unfortunately) now but I was thinking about transferring to UH or HBU.

Are there any “Bible” classes or something along those lines I have to take because some colleges required you to do so and I didn’t see anything like that on the HBU website? Anyways is it a good school?

Also are there any other good colleges in Houston, other than UH? I don’t want to go to a branch campus either.
