Houston has a great local comedy scene. I'll list what I know about here. Let me know if I missed anything. I focus on standup shows, but there are plenty great improvisational comedy shows to catch at Station Theater and Comedy Sportz.

– 8:00 PM – Kabir "Kabeezy" Singh ($12) fresh off his standing ovation and four “yeses” on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” in June of 2021, but he has been a touring headliner for almost a decade now. Kabir has been featured on “Amazon Prime“, “The Family Guy“, “Laughs on Fox”, and Gabriel Iglesias’ “Stand Up Revolution” on Comedy Central. More info here

– 9:15 PM – (Upstairs) Goddammit! A Delta-Varied Comedy Show! ($5) is one of Houston's best comedy showcases. Drinks are irresponsibly cheap and the taco truck that's on the property is world-class. Every week, the show features some of the best comics in Houston, as well as frequent drop-ins from out-of-towners and famous comedians. More info here

They've got low ceilings, excellent pub food, and a full bar, making it feel like an old school comedy club (minus drink minimums), plus, the lineup is curated by Houston's comedy queen, Dusti Rhodes!
