Meet Cavin & Claudine Davis | Owners of A Taste of Tremé LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cavin & Claudine Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cavin & Claudine, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process was living out my purpose God intended for me. Being able to serve others is our passion. Cooking with passion and with your heart allows customers to forget everything going on at that moment and bring them to their happy place.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
A Taste of Tremé LLC takes pride in customer service. We want our customers to have the ultimate experience when tasting our dishes. Our goal is to bring you to that happy place that you love visiting but never get the chance to do often.

Stepping out on faith and the support we give each other. Cavin: My wife knew it’s always been a dream of mine to join the food service industry. And she’s been the backbone of the business. Claudine: I knew it was his passion and dream and I wanted to support him.

Funny thing is, the hard part was getting out of my own way. Putting fear behind me and trusting what God has for us. Once we followed in the steps preordained for us, the rest is history in the making.

The biggest lesson learned so far has been to know your worth. Don’t under sell yourself just to make a sale. Trust the process and stay consistent.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly, the first stop with my best friends would be the grocery store. When we get together it’s time to fellowship, eat and laugh. They love to be our guinea pigs for new recipes. After a first day of hanging around the house and cooking, we usually venture out to a local bar/restaurant to kick back and have a great time. We are very simple people. And that’s what our friends love about us. The time together eating, drinking and laughing makes life so much easier.
