5 ton 2 stage ac system – is this fair price?

I live in the Spring area and trying to replace my 15 year old hvac system in 3200 sqft home. We have owned this house for past 2 years and currently have zoning (but the dampers are out anyway). Got quotes from 2 different contractors who recommended to get rid of zoning and go with 2 stage system instead of spending more money on the expensive variable system with zoning. Got 2 quotes from different contractors 5 ton 2 stage, 17 SEER system – Comfortmaker – 17k 5 ton 2 stage, 18 SEER system – Trane – 17k Am I getting fair price? submitted by /u/ironman521 |
