Seeking personal experiences with apartments in the general northwest area.

I’m starting a job near Hardy Toll Road and Tidwell and am looking to find a one or two bedroom apartment for about $1300 or less with a 30-45 minute commute or less. I’d like to find a place with W/D in unit, that is in a safe area and is pet friendly and not prone to flooding. I’m open to any location from Montrose or the Heights to Spring or Cypress or similar. City is preferred, but if I can get a significantly nicer place in the suburbs, I’m open to it. I’ve looked on Google Maps, but assume the reviews are skewed if not fake. Thanks in advance!
