Relocate to Houston!

Hello Houston! My wife and I are Canadian and are hoping to relocate to Houston in 3-5 years after I finish my bachelors degree in Finance. Hoping someone here is willing to offer the Pros and Cons of life in Houston? I see the traffic is atrocious but the housing is much cheaper than here in Canada. All thoughts and comments welcome!
