Where can I get an actual gel manicure?

I moved here last year and I noticed that salons use the terms Gel and Shellac interchangeably. I’m not trying to be an ass, but they’re not the same thing and I don’t want a shellac manicure. (Gel tends to last me at least three weeks, up to a month if it’s done well. And my nails respond nicely to it. Shellac lasts about a week before it’s peeling from the bottom and sides on my nails and snagging on everything. I tried dips, those lasted longer but my nails got very brittle and hated it.)

I’ve been to about ten different salons between Missouri City and the energy corridor.. haven’t had any luck yet. I ask for gel, they say ‘yes of course!’ I end up with shellac. I understand that when moving to a different city trends might be different and maybe gel just isn’t popular here like it was in my old city. But my husband keeps telling me to just ask the Houston subreddit for advice (shocking that he’s tired of hearing about my manicure mania when he really can’t help me, lol) So here I am! Anyone here in Houston know where to get an honest to god gel manicure? I’ll drive anywhere in the city for it, I don’t care. I just miss my nice nails!
