Anyone remembers Houston giving 40 million to catholic charities?
I'll be brief did anyone remember houston getting 40 million in covid assistance and instead of it being distributed to the people it was given to catholic charities to distribute. We applied and never heard a peep about this. And I remember the media briefly covered the scandal but nothing ever came out of it other than a poor excuse and saying they would get on it. The catholic church stiffed money from this pandemic and I'm not okay with them or any religious institutions being well off and building big cathedrals meanwhile they stiffed money that was meant to go to those that struggled. With covid ending please don't forget the other pandemic of the looming homelessness crisis while these organizations stiffed the working class in houston. Did anyone who apply ever hear back from them? Or did they just shared that among each other.
