What are the drone laws in Houston?

So I got my first drone and I’ve been wondering if I can fly it in downtown or what rules need to be followed. The instructions are vague especially in Houston and there aren’t much discussions about drone laws or where it’s legal to fly them. Btw this one Is heavier than 250g, and I’ve read that I should get it registered before flying. Any input would be helpful. Thank you
