Does anyone know why we don’t see red brick anymore?

When I was growing up, I watched the Astros play in their red and black. I was disappointed when they returned to their original color scheme, but one thing still bothers me. It seems like the astros have sponged that time from their record. I can’t remember any throwbacks or merchandise that goes back to the 1994-2012 period nowadays even though they sell the older rainbow jerseys. Does anyone know why that is?
