Personal trainer or fitness coach?

Moved to Humble earlier this year and I’m finally deciding to get into shape.

I got a gym membership (planet fitness). In the past, I put on pounds then do a bunch of cardio and dieting strictly for weight loss.

I’m thinking I’d like to change it up by, not only cutting belly fat, but build muscle.

Thing is…I’ve never lifted weights before and I’m fairly out of shape now. I’ve dieted before but again strictly for weight loss. I’d like to know what regiments to do, how often, what to eat, all that jazz…to put muscle into my arms and get rid of this gut.

Is there anyone out there who might be willing to coach me or perhaps should I look into getting a personal trainer?

I’m kinda on a budget and new to the area so i have no idea what I’m looking for….just desperate to get in shape and stay motivated to reach desired fitness goals of cutting belly fat and putting on muscle.
