Anyone get crazy ants?

Just had an exterminator out today to do a spray around for pests since we bought our house in the past half year. I had seen a few ants here and there. He mentioned they were crazy ants and I had never heard of those so I looked them up and holy cow is it nightmare fuel.

The NY Times did an article. Apparently they’ve been in town for a decade or so and have become a major problem in the suburbs. I haven’t seen many yet but I’m hoping the exterminator got them since they were coming out of a weep hole in the pier and beam airspace below the house.

Anyone on here have problems with them? Seems that the dead ones will pile up and they’ll also short out electronics.
