Be patient with Davis Mills. His mentality matters more than what he shows in the upcoming season.

The more I watch, the more I like this pick by the Texans. As I've stated before, his ceiling is going to be determined by his mindset- does he have that perfectionist attitude that Manning had or the competitive spirit of Brady? That is what will make him the next great QB I think he can be. He has great tools and throws with such phenomenal anticipation. People keep saying a Cousins ceiling and I couldn't disagree more. Mills is a field general who likes to play the game on a mental level with tools to go beyond that if necessary. He'll need plenty of reps and confident experience though because he has to improve on consistency and decision making. How much can Pep and Tim help him to that, we'll see. All I know is Manning threw 28 interceptions his rookie year. Let Mills go out there and play this wasted year and let him make his mistakes now so he can learn the game for when you build around him.
