Bed Bath & Beyond expects to close multiple stores in 2020, including in Houston

Bed Bath & Beyond (Nasdaq: BBBY) and Pier 1 Imports Inc. (NYSE: PIR) are among the latest national retailers to announce store closures, and some are expected to be in Houston.

New Jersey-based Bed Bath & Beyond will close 40 stores across 19 states and Washington, D.C., in the first half of 2020. The retailer told USA Today that it will close the following Houston stores: 

West Oaks Shopping Center, 2306 S. Highway 6
700 Meyerland Plaza 
6675 Highway 6 North
