PSA to new folks: flash flooding in Houston can be deadly. Don’t drive into water you cannot see through. Make plans to stay in for the night if flooding is occuring.

Most importantly don't panic. Usually there is a real time thread here with updates if flooding does occur.

Seeing as a lot of our new residents have not witnessed Houston style flooding, be prepared to help our your neighbors.

It may be a nothing burger, but just remember "turn around, don't drown"… We repeat it every year for a reason. Let's make this year different.
