Operation baby killdeer rescue
Just sharing a little Monday cuteness. While visiting a friend in Richmond yesterday, 4 baby killdeer were found running around her yard. They were so small, their little wings were barely developed. The rain must have knocked them out of the nest. 2 of the babies were sadly snatched up by a few crested caracaras. I managed to scoop up the remaining 2 and brought them to the Houston Wildlife Center.
