Are we done apologizing?

I had an exchange with a blue jays fan on r/baseball. he was doing some crazy mental gymnastics to downplay the fact that George Springer was on the cheating 2017 Astros. Saying that springer wasn’t a star player or a leader in the clubhouse, that being World Series mvp doesn’t mean anything and that altuve is somehow more to blame for the cheating than springer.

These people don’t care about the cheating or the integrity of the game they’re quick to forgive and move on when a star joins thier team but they feel like we should just be booed forever.

I’m done apologizing, at this point whoever was gonna move on has moved on and whoever is gonna hold on to it forever is not worth my time. Let the fans boo, let them throw trash onto their home fields. Astros need to lean fully into the hate and just hurt them where it matters.
