Texas A&M engineering dean named sole finalist for president

Texas A&M University’s M. Katherine Banks, vice chancellor of Engineering and National Laboratories as well as dean of the College of Engineering, is the sole finalist for president of the university in College Station.

TAMU System Chancellor John Sharp recommended Banks for sole finalist March 3, and she received board approval. State law mandates the university wait 21 days between naming a finalist and making the appointment.
