Any teachers here had success finding a different job field in Houston?
I’m a first year teacher with a bachelors degree in education. I’ve been teaching full time this year, and have been wanting to explore what else my potential is outside of education. I absolutely enjoy working with others, I like to plan and stay organized, and I’m a great team player willing to learn. I want to make more and do more.
But the more I look at jobs online, the more I get a bit discouraged as I do not have sales experience, and I don’t know how I feel about a commission based job. Most entry level jobs I look at require 1-3+ years of experience in HR, recruiting etc.
Any ex teachers here with experience with this? I do my own research and most say get into other education based jobs, or HR.
