Mayor calls for grace period on Houston evictions, says money is available to help renters in need

HOUSTON — Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner on Feb. 10 asked City Council members to approve a grace period on evictions, reported KHOU 11’s Adam Bennett.

The mayor plans to put the ordinance on next week’s city council meeting agenda. He said the measure will align with the CDC’s timeline.
