Worst to best case outcomes of the DeShaun Watson situation.
The worst case is trading him for improper compensation. Anything around the approximate value of 3 first round picks or less is too little.
The second worst case is forcing Watson to play for the team and he decides to show up and be a malcontent. Basically if he just does a Dwayne Haskins impression and starts being the guy that does the bare minimum necessary. Eg. Treats it like a 9 to 5:00 job and leaves the building as soon as his 8 hours are up. He also publicly criticizes the McNair family and makes it hard for cal McNair to pay him $40 million a year. Anybody that asks his opinion about the Texans will hear an anti-texans account. It will be very hard for the Texans to attract any player or coach with another option.
The third worst case is him holding out.
The 4th worst case (and second best case) is trading him for sufficient value. Somewhere around the value of four first round picks and a 2nd.
The best case is DeShaun Watson genuinely forgives the Texans organization and there is a genuine reconciliation.
