Local officials celebrate 25 years of Katy Area Retired Educators’ advocacy for retiree benefits
State Representative Michael Schofield said that the grassroots activism of KARE has helped prevent proposed premium hikes for retiree health insurance plans and paved the way for much-needed benefit adjustments for retirees at the state level.
