Some (Non-Watson) Trade Ideas

JJ Watt to the Bills for a 2021 2nd (61st overall) and 2022 4th I understand he’s beloved but considering the cap situation, and Watt’s age, contract, and drive to be on a winning team right now this is likely the best they can get and might even be a bit much. For the Bills, they need more pass rush but by doing this they probably would miss out on resigning either Darryl Williams or Matt Milano

Brandin Cooks to WFT for a 2021 2nd (51st overall) At first I was thinking the Ravens would be a very nice fit but I wouldn’t want to send 2 of our best players to AFC contenders. Most likely the Texans aren’t going to be able to retain both Fuller and Cooks . Despite Fuller’s struggles to stay on the field (which could be a plus this year for resigning him) he provides more upside as well as being 1 year younger and if we’re being honest Cooks is 1 or 2 concussions away from retiring. For Washington, they definitely could use another deep threat playmaker to pair alongside McLaurin and with Cooks they could have a legitimate explosive offense alongside an already monster defense.

Bernard McKinney and 2021 7th (195th overall) to the Jets for a 2021 3rd (87th overall) and 2022 6th His contract is considerably large and he hasn’t been able to regain the glory of his All-Pro year in 2018. Tyrell Adams (Who needs to get resigned) proved to be a fine replacement for him and factor that in with Cunningham who had a solid season, LB is not on the top of needs on defense and we have way more holes to fill. For the Jets who have just as bad of a defense, they have enough cap space and picks that they could splurge a bit to pair CJ Mosley with another good LB.

With these trades the Texans are able to recoup some draft capital this year to start a rebuild, or at least a rebuild of the defense.

Also should definitely consider cutting Fulton, David Johnson, and Mercilus because I assume no team would even use a late 7th on them.
