Any otters near I-10 area?

I messed up recently and accidentally totaled my step son’s only car while he was driving me to my shift at Chilis because of my DUI. I feel awful and was wondering if anyone knows any good spots for either otter or beaver hunting near the I-10 area, I was hoping that if I get one I could pretty well much make him a fashionable coat or maybe even a hat as an apology. Ideally needs to be within 30 minutes walking distance because my foot is all blistered and oozing substances from the car crash. Anyone know where I can these animals
