Request: Late 80’s restaurant where you could write on the walls

I have a childhood memory of a restaurant that had white walls and you use a marker to write a message on the walls. I have no other memory about the food or anything else. We used to live off 290 if that helps. What was this place? It was this a common trend at the time?
