Lance Zierlein final thoughts on the Tampa Bay All 22
Copy pasted the tweet here as well.
Final thoughts on the Texans/Bucs after All-22:
-
Ed Ingram had a rock-solid game but Tomlinson keeps getting over-extended leading to some bad losses
-
Tampa showed no fear of getting beat when blitzing & cranked it up in the 4th. Texans will keep seeing it
-
Tampa has very athletic, fast CBs and Texans WRs struggled to uncover vs. man
-
Woody Marks has to play more. Period.
-
Harrison Bryant did a nice job of attacking/sustaining blocks up front
-
Stroud showed some signs of happy feet when pressure mounted inside & it kept him from delivering some open throws
-
The spacing between the four man front allowed for MUCH EASIER block execution for Tampa's OL.
-
Tampa's LBs got downhill & attacked/muddied the blocking scheme near the line while the Texans LBs too often said back and caught blocks rather than playing ahead of the climb-up blocks
-
The DTs were pushed around all over the place. The Texans appear to have too many similar, upfield interior players and are missing a block-beater and drain clogger inside
-
I would like to see E.J. Speed and Christian Harris get more snaps as they have disruptive qualities and elite speed
