Weekly or monthly artist development classes and workshops?

Are there any artist groups around town that develops non-artists into emerging creatives? I'm not looking for skill-based classes, ie take a charcoal sketching class. I'm looking for identity-based classes. Like something simliar to "The Artist's Way" or "The Creative Act" book, but in class form.

Preferably something that:

• is for adults (I've found a few but they're only for <18; adults need artistic development too!)

• is led by either full-time or part-time artists in any discipline (painting, writing, whatever)

• meets regularly with the same cohort

• meets for at least 5 weeks or longer

• isn't too far from where I live (TMC)

• isn't priced too high (<$200)

Lastly, I'd appreciate it if responses weren't "have you looked into the Glassell School? have you looked into Sawyer Yards?" I have like 10 brain cells left ok that's why I'm asking here. Please direct me to something specific. And I've asked them already -they don't.
